Third Sunday of Lent: Nuture Growth (Luke 13:1-9)

A fig tree doesn’t live up to its name if it produces no figs. The gardener offers the tree one more year of ultra-special care to see if there’s any hope for fruit. Locate a fruitless corner of your life. Smother it with attention.

 

Chrism Mass

St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Thunder Bay, Thursday, March 25, 7 p.m. Sacred oils will be blessed and distributed for parish use throughout the diocese. Clergy will renew their commitment to ministry. Chief celebrant: Bishop Fred Colli. Everyone welcome.

Lent is a time for personal growth, a time to listen to God, and time for spiritual refreshment and invigoration. Leader: Msgr. Pat Stilla. Each evening will conclude with a social time and refreshments in the parish hall.
