As we mourn the death of our Holy Father, Francis, the faithful are encouraged to participate in liturgical celebrations (Eucharist, Liturgy of the Hours, Eucharistic Adoration) and devotional prayers arranged by their dioceses and parishes.

The College of Cardinals has initiated a period of nine days of mourning, beginning on 26 April 2025 and ending on 4 May 2025. During this time the following novena may be prayed.

May the Holy Father Pope Francis rest in peace, and may the Lord grant him the reward promised to faithful servants of the Kingdom.

If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. (Romans 14.8)
