New Rector of the Canadian Pontifical College in Rome
Ottawa – Father Francesco Yukinori Kumagawa, PSS, has been named Rector of the Canadian Pontifical College in Rome. As of 1 May 2026, he succeeds fellow Sulpician Father Jaroslaw Kaufmann, P.S.S., who has been Rector since 2024.

Ottawa – Today, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of the Most Reverend Ronald P. Fabbro, CSB, Bishop of London since 2002, and appointed the Most Reverend Daniel J. Miehm as his successor. At the time of his nomination, Bishop Miehm was serving as Bishop of Peterborough.
