Bishop Colli Retirement - St. Patrick's Cathedral

According to Church law, when a bishop reaches his 75th birthday, he submits a letter of resignation to the Pope. I will be 75 years old this June, and my retirement as the Bishop of Thunder Bay will probably take place by the end of June. The 25 years of ministry for me as your Bishop has been exciting, rewarding and challenging. I made Thunder Bay my home for the past 25 years, and now it is time for a new bishop to assume these responsibilities and this ministry. I will be celebrating my retirement on three occasions with a special Recognition and Awards Mass: in Dryden on May 26, 2024 at 3:30 pm. - in Schreiber on June 9, 2024 at 3:30 pm. and at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday July 14, 2024 at the 10:30 am Mass. A reception will also be held at the Catholic Pastoral Centre on July 14 in the afternoon from 2 - 5 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you have any questions about my retirement, please contact Susan Nistico at the Catholic Pastoral Centre (807)343-9313
